View on the daily life in Changi
Besides portraits Henk Brouwer made hundreds of drawings and paintings during his imprisonment in pow camps. A great number of these works was lost during the war, but many of them popped up after the war in different parts of the world. Together these works give a unique view on Changi and the daily life of the pow’s. They also show the broad skills of Brouwer, who mastered a great variety of styles in drawing and painting.
